Actually zone focussing would, by definition, be quicker than any af system, so it’s not a question of need, but one of want and can.
The distance scale is in the viewfinder.

Are you talking about the Hasseblads posted in this thread?

If so, one has an APS-C sensor (it’s a skinned Sony NEX 7), one has a 35mm sensor (it’s a skinned Sony A7), and one has a one inch sensor (it’s a skinned Sony RX100). None of them are medium format.

You know what “zone focussing” actually means in practice? 28mm lens or wider at f8 with focus from 3ft to infinity. Set and forget, there’s no other use case, and you can do that “better” with a digital scale every time.

They are just rebranded cameras from other manufacturers with a huge markup. So a photographer would actually just buy one of those.

The only reason to even consider Hasselblad is for the name or the looks.
