>>3221934thats valid, and i didnt mean to be rude, dont let this board ruin u from photography
as for the OP, i think that B/W is a fine choice bc the colours are kind of shit in the original (maybe can be played saturation/tonality) and kind of are just a distraction
they look really gross, and it doesnt help that the quality of the image is also pretty low
the rest of the edit: the vignette is really off putting and makes the photo really cheap looking? it also fucks with the linear quality the rest of the image has (the ago's structure), being a round vignette. i know it was to place focus on the subject, but there are other ways 2 do that
i did a really fast edit here, some things to note:
1. i still placed the focus on the person via turning them into the darkest tone/a silhouette
2. i still placed the focus on the person via cropping it in a way that they are a. larger, b. at an intersecting visual point
3. widened the range of tones in the image(lighter lights, darker darks)
4. cropped out some of the negative space (absent/unimportant space that is there just for contrast sake), which i thought wasnt that important, especially the floor. it does somewhat contextualize the photo but i thought it looked off/pointless/trashy
i dont edit too often bc i only shoot film but thats my 2cents
i also think osgoode looks like a much better shot, and if u fix ur horizon line its alright
goodluck shooting and i maybe someday ill spot u if i do i will shout out aunt gemima to confirm its u
