Reddit only looks up to names, meaning trips and popular photo takers. Anonymity is scary and makes them uncomfortable. A name has status, history, it's holy; others praise it and so they can safely praise it too. But Anonymous could be anybody, someone they disagree with, someone they hate, so it's not attractive nor dramatic.
Anonymous doesn't want to acquire a name just to compete. Even with a style, reddit won't pay much attention to what seems like an unproven, unpopular, nameless person.
