i am going to zion national park this friday with my shitnormie shitfriends and wanted to take pics with my kickass ussr zebra m39 helios-44 on my Fujifilm X-T10 but the adapters dont get here until fucking march. (!!!!???)

i need an m39-to-m42 screw thread and a m42 to fuji-x-mount adapter PRONTO... is there a brick and mortar store where i can cop them sameday???

i live in phoenix btw

Ucan always use ur body cap and a Dremel and make a hole big enough to fit the lens

That's the X mount mirrorless? Just get some tubing, body cap, packing tape, and make your own adapter. Once you get the length correct you should have infinity. Does you adapter have a correction lens in it? That might be a bit of a problem, but I wouldn't worry about it.

okays i went and bought a lens cap and some abs toilet pipe im going to super glue the lens onto the pipe and make an extension tube myself ... will post the results i hope itworks!!!

btw i fixed it, the lens needed to be cleaned.

At a guess, I'd say those are from internal reflections in your janky-ass prison adapter. Either that or haze on your janky-ass Russian lens.

are you sure there are any "internal reflections"?

it's my understanding that light's path from the rear element to the sensor doesn't involve any interaction/reflection with the tunnel's sides. id be really impressed if it did

i checked with a flashlight and there don't appear to be any light leaks

Nope. Like I said, it was just a guess. And since you said that cleaning the lens fixed it, probably an incorrect one.

highly recommended.

two problems with my adapter:
> the focal plane is not precisely parallel to the sensor bc i didnt saw the tube precisely enough
> the tube's width (flange distance) is in the ballpark but not perfect, so i lose a little close focus, and a bit of the infinity focus is garbage. the distance markings on the lens also don't line up to truth because of this

even so they are to within a degree where i cant see it affecting my images
