I make huge efforts with my pictures, just not to make it look like something /p/ will like.

It's a long exposure. I used a polarizer, to darken the sky, and a 10 stop ND filter to get a 30 second exposure. I did some additional darkening and coloring in lightroom

It was pretty easy. It's maybe 1/4 mile from the main parking lot there. I can't recall if this one was Methuselah or not, but it was actually two trees. It's hard to tell from the photo I posted, but theres two trees, one about 30 feet behind the front one. You can see these trees from the road when you're about to enter the parking lot at the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forrest

I think I did. But the window for taking this shot was so narrow, I don't know if I had a chance. This was literally the last light, after I took this photo, the light was off the tree. But The reason I wanted to take the longe exposure was the contrast the moving clouds with the solid tree.
