Is this the right shade of green for color separation photography? This is the only angle of it I could find.

I think I have the same filter, bought it for RGB photography using a monochrome camera. It's so bad that it's useless, hurts the sharpness too much to be of any use.

A color separation filter should have specs of a color separation filter. (Wratten 61 for green, 29 for red and 61 for blue or equivalent.) Polyester (gels) filters are not hugely expensive but finding em may be difficult.
