New Camera New Photographer

No.3238422 View ViewReplyOriginalReport
Hi /p/

I've always had a passing interest in /p/hotography but never really got into it for real. I recently asked my mom for my grandmother's old 35mm camera and she let me have it with a bunch of lenses and all sorts of attachments (my grandma was really in to photography). It's an Olympus OM-1n . Like pic related. I've been shooting pictures since last weekend. The thing is in excellent condition. I'm pretty sure I've botched the first 2 or 3 rolls of film but that's no big deal, there's a learning curve I feel. I usually shoot random shots of moments with people and scenery and stuff.

I guess why I'm making this thread is to ask helpful tips on how to take the best shots. I'd like to really get into this hobby but I'm basically retarded when it all comes together. I took some photography class back in high school so I know very basic stuff. Again, I know I'm going to sound like a retard with this OP, just wanting a few pointers so I can really get started.
