But at the end of the day the only decent shots were reposts of the same Swiss guy over and over again, which were stunning, but the rest were just moon shots and way way worse attempts at the Orion nebula than this one:

Ironically enough the worst attempts at astro were made by a dude who was shilling hard Pentax in every "how can I into astro :DDD" thread because of that astrocrap he never even managed to use decently once on his own camera.
Anyway, getting interested in astrophotography is cool, interesting and useful for everything you'll do at night, but you'll soon realize you just can't compete with NASA/ESA in this field and can't really add nothing to this kind of photography that they were doing way better and before you, so you'll soon find yourself with really heavy and cumbersome gear that will see a night sky once a year if everything goes the right way. I move around off-road up on the mountains at night with a mx motorcycle and I understood that:
1. I'd better use my time up in the cold and relative danger to obtain something unique and printable, BIG, not a 500px wide crop
2. I'd never strap a fragile telescope+eq.mount+camera off-road on a motorcycle, I'm relatively heavy loaded already as I am and I need to be agile in those situations (which basically are the only ones where I can get a relatively dark sky, depending on how far I go) lol
