I started photography about a month ago and I'm pretty happy with my progress. I'm going to post my first edits and continue on to my latest work.

These two photos were luck though because my skills went straight back down. I was able to capture the background how I wanted it, but wasn't able to capture the house in a scary way.

My favourite photo from the first set of photos I took with my dslr.
At this time when I would take 100 photos maybe 10 of them would be good..
When I first started only 1 or 2 would be good.

I've got a better understanding of how iso works, and shutter speed, now I've got to improve my knowledge of apperature. Then go back to both iso and shutter speed and work on those.
I love learning about photography though, and am happy that I've picked up this skill. I can't wait to see how much I've improved in a year, but yeah wanted to share my journey so far with you guys, and see what I can improve on.

1. Resize before shitting up peoples time

2. Almost everything is garbage, but that's to be expected. Keep shooting

3. Learn the basics first- practice focusing properly, exposure, shutter speed, etc
This will remove all those visible problems and mistakes in your photos

4. Stop posting your garbage. Towards the end there are some that were shot correctly but I'd already trodden through your garbage by that point so I didn't care to analyse them

5. Stop processing your photos for a month. You're relying on editing/processing as a crutch and it's covering up your mistakes and problems in all of your later stuff

In general, keep shooting but slow down and do things right rather than piling mistakes on top of mistakes. If this is you after 1 month then you're headed for good things, so stop causing problems for future you

1. Unless you're a homeless dude outside a McDonalds leeching off the internet, downloading a 1MB image is nothing. The average page on the internet is 4-5MB these days.
2-5. Everything else is accurage though. Emphasis on stopping photo editing.

You'd think that with all the time you spend editing, you'd figure out how to actually rotate your images. Most of these even have easy guidelines, so you can be completely blind and fix these.

Generally there's a horizontal or vertical pole or side of building near the center of the image you can use as a reference. But it should be easy to determine "which way's down" by just looking at it and thinking "would this image balance a marble if I place it on the ground in this captured world?
