If I’m shooting a show, and it’s one where everyone’s gonna be sitting down in the audience, 2: 24-70 and 70-200
Show where people are standing and I can move around, usually three: 50/1.4, 85/1.8, and 17-40/4 (but I almost never use the latter).
Model photoshoot, 4: 50/1.4, 85/1.8, 17-40, and a manual focus pre-AI Nikon 50/1.2 on an adapter.
If I’m just walking around taking pics with no agenda, usually just 1: 50/1.4
Urban exploration, some combination of the 50, 85, or 17-40 and regardless of which 1, 2, or 3 I pick, I always end up regretting my choices.
