>>3244423The only way to illuminate mountains like that is with moonlight. Otherwise, the mountains would be pretty dark. However, moonlight tends to illuminate the sky too, drowning out all dark sky details. Also, in most of my own attempts at wide field astrophotography, there's usually some form of light pollution on the horizon. The fact that the dark sky goes right to the horizon in this image is a tip off that it's probably fake. It's possible that the mountains were photographed in the daytime, and then the WB and brightness was tweaked to make it look like it's in starlight. Also
