>Garage sales are usually a treasure trove
Websites like gumtree and local classifieds are usually a good place to find bargains, but if you're willing to dig a little more looking at garage sales that have "a bunch of cameras" or "camera stuff" in the description usually means that the seller doesn't know much about the equipment and you'll often find something handy like a camera bag or tripod.

>Deceased Estates
Another good place for those in the lookout for an antique piece of kit. Usually a third party auctions off the products so its worth knowing what company does the auctioning, asking the real estate agent is usually a good start.

>Community Stereotypes
There are alot of Asians where I live, and for some reason they love photography. I periodically check the local second hand stores in the area for a decent bargain, while a few are savvy with product knowledge and will charge accordingly, things like filters and polarizers are a bit more a gray area and be snapped up for $10 - $30.
