It might look better if you took it from a lower angle with a wider lens. Pop the cam on a tripod and expose for .5-1 second to get a more appealing effect on the water. Just imho

Composition is nice. iPhone is gonna be limited as to what you can do though unless you get a program that lets you go full manual with the controls. Like >>3246428 said, a long exposure on water will make it look like its flowing.

For the pic you posted, I'd like to see more dynamic range / contrast / saturation to make it more interesting.

That’s a really uncomfortable and compositionally unstable crop. My eyes shouldn’t be drawn to the corner of a landscape. Maybe for something more human and dynamic this sort of crop would work but as-is it’s just unpleasing. The only subject in the OP was a diverging stream, so now it’s just subjectless and visually offensive

But you are right, I’ll leave that term only for people who can’t seem to nail focus and go wider than necessary on every shot.
