It's mostly a software than a hardware thing to include it. I mean I do myself occasionally use my one-and-only DSLR to do both, I even have that retarded looking nikon hotshoe microphone and honestly it works pretty well for versatility since I don't use video enough to buy a camcorder and I gag when I see what my smartphone can do
