And I'd genuinely like to know what's got easier other than the ability to get instant feedback on the shot and burst rates. The pros and cons of AF V MF are a wash, same with film v digital from an aesthetic and technical perspective. In body metering has been effective for 40 years, so it can't be that...
I'm getting increasingly upset about how it has, in fact, not got any easier at all.

It is supremely ironic that all those old doomsday seers and sci-fi writers said that the future governments will have eyes everywhere watching everyone when in fact everyone is doing that very thing on their own and willingly showing everyone; desperately trying to get people to view them. I wonder what George Orwell would think about modern life today.

Orwell probably had no clue how computers would revolutionize society, and destroy privacy

Governments can keep a watchful eye, and do literally nothing at the same time, they just collect the data on massive servers, and AI designed to search for key terms, and phrases do all the work

Photography isn't going to die! But as you realize you don't need a DSLR or a MILC for about 80% of your work, you're going to realize photography is collapsing for the way we know it.

We 'saw' it changing from glass, to film, to digital, but now we saw it becoming very, but very, popular. And I'm not sure about what's is going to be about the industry.

They are hanging themselves.

Smartphone cameras are getting better and better. Because of actual limitations in physics they will never be as good or versatile as a good setup but software and post production will become advanced enough to eliminate the gap for the majority of the audience.

The final limitation is the human eye. Once smartphones and small sensors get good enough, it won’t matter how much “professional equipment” advances if nobody can perceive he differences
