What are your thoughts about FAG photography?

Thinking of doing some shots for Find A Grave. Looking for tips from FAGs with headstone experience.

I love FAG, use its all the time. Unfortunately, I do not have experience with FAG photography but I will lurk around because I am very curious about doing FAG photograph.

I take many photos in Australian outback cemeteries. It's kind of a project of mine... I usually make it so that names aren't discernable unless the grave is historic, though (pre 1900).

Find a Grave uses headstones with the name visible. Anything past that is up to the photographer. Its a memorial, biography, headstone photo, living photo and genealogy info. See left for a typical FAG photo.

Well, I must admit it, this is a pretty creepy thread. I mean why would you take photos in a cemetery and why is this even a thing. To be honest this is above my understanding. Isn't it like violation of private after life? :). Don't judge my humour, my brother works at https://headstonepics.com/clean-granite-headstone and I have heard worse believe me :). Creepy as they are I still find this type of photography quite mesmerizing. Still there is no way I'll do that myself. When I was a kid I wanted to put a camera in the cemetery to search supernatural activity at night.
