Where are you going in Europe? Most of it is pretty tame, just use your common sense.
You don't need a new camera, you need a good bag that is safe and comfortable.
Just bring along one lens or two at best, less fiddling with lenses is less time that makes you a target.
if you're coming to Italy I can help, in short:
>Romepretty much one of the worst places in western europe when it comes to camera thefts, but if you stay in the city center and don't go around alone at night you're safe. NEVER LEAVE YOUR BAG IN YOUR CAR. NEVER. NEVER LEAVE IT UNATTENDED. I repeat, never, ever. Go to the bathroom? Bag comes with you. No "friends", no nothing, it's on you or it's at home.
biggest danger: gypsies, stay away from them, don't talk with them, don't give them space, don't interact with them in the slightest manner, especially the kids.
>Napleslike Rome but worse, keep all of your shit in hard to access pockets and stay the fuck away from groups of locals that want to talk with you.
These rules apply in general but Rome and Naples are the worst case scenario. Away from big cities you're good to go, nobody is gonna give you shit.
If you go to Germany you're safe. France maybe, but just be safe like in Italy and you'll be good. Anywhere up north is safe. Spain is a mess but should be safe.
I dunno about the UK but violence is much more of a thing there.
