Will a hood help when shooting in the rain?
I hate when I'm taking photos when it rains and water droplets get on my lens. How can I stop this from happening?

Rainx only works if you're moving so the air can make the rain droplets bead away

Lens pointed to the ground, raise when shooting, quickly point to the ground again. Have dry mycrofible cloth handy as well.

Of course a lens hood would help with this.

Just keep that shit horizontal at all times and you may even consider just a cheap Ziploc open on both end just over the body and lens so it doesn't get too wet. I did this shooting in the snowfall.

Yes, a hood will help. I shot a wedding ceremony last year in the pouring rain and didn’t get a drop on my front element. Keep your lens pointed down and cover your view finder and you’ll be good.
