Whats your favorite ratio? Why? What;s your best/favorite genre of photography?
What inspires you? How would you suggest shooting in that ratio?

I'm starting this thread because I want advice on how I should keep different aspect ratios in mind while shooting because I'm constantly only thinking about the frame I am seeing in my view finder.

Also because I'm curious as to how different aspect ratios can effect different types of photography.
For example, I rarely see concert photography in this ration in the circles of people that I follow (I'm in LA) yet somehow I feel it captures the energy better because it looks like a movie still (sometimes)

Don’t care. Wider the better imo. Also photojournalism/documentary style is my favorite.

I usually crop mine to 3:2 just because Instagram favors crops that aren’t so wide. But I prefer 16:9 or wider.

3:2 I guess because it’s what I usually shoot and I always print full frame. I like 6:7 and 4:3 a lot though, you waste a lot less paper and especially in portrait orientation they’re more manageable. 1:1 is too difficult for me.
