Like most Hospitals/Asylums of the time the site itself had it's own Power Plant, Railway line, staffing homes (Separate nursing block pictured), gardens, farms and more
It was also used for a decade more recently by a local TV Station and a lot of the electrical equipment I saw looked to be from that period.
