Pro: It's as close to point and shoot as you can get with a manual focus. It has a fucking amazing lens.
Con: Meter is off with modern lithium batteries. It's entirely electronic. It's also a prick to use flash with.
Canon F-1
Pro: Built like a tank. Cleanable and serviceable. Great FD lenses. Fully mechanical. Accessories still around.
Con: Expensive. Fully mechanical. Automatic addons are extra money, and big money on ebay. Flash shoe is an accessory.
Pentax Spotmatic
Pro: Functional. Mechanical. Excellent lightmeter. Works well with modern batteries. M42 Takumar lenses ar good.
Con: Fully mechanical.
Nikon F55:
Pro: DSLR functionality without the D. Cheap as fuck and almost new.
Con: Not an 'old' film camera. But for people who want to shoot film, the early EOS or the like ar probably the best option because they have all the 'modern' automation
