Well you saw the quality of the lens in the video, it didn't look it would work well for capturing still images. I would save up for a better sniper lens, also 2,600mm seems a bit excessive for bird photography, and moon photography is boring as shit.

It isn't. It is only 1300mm. The "2600mm" is marketing crap because they include a 2x teleconverter that makes the image turn to liquid shit. At 1300mm it is basically a seismograph and with the teleconverter it will be nearly unusable without some major stabilization. Like taping it to a block on the ground.

The only correct answer ITT is Sigma 150-500 f5-6.3 OS, bought one for my mom for birds on her SL1, the image quality is on par with some L lenses I had back in the day and I'm not even trolling and you can buy them for under 500 if you look
