nearly all pictures on /p/ make me sad. it's always someone walking alone, shooting nature and architecture because they don't have to interact with it in any way. non-confrontational, non-judgemental. no emotional threshold to explore. nothing to discover. sometimes pictures from a rock show will be posted, with a lot of glitz and movement, but it's a safe and well-worn pathway to explore expression. you pay your money at the door, you herd into the venue, you stand politely with the other patrons while someone on stage works their instrument. you photograph them like animals in the zoo.
