any general advice regarding firework pictures that isn't online?
I've got
- tripod
- low ISO
- high-ish f number
- longer shutter speed
...is that it?
I'm gonna go tomorrow for the first time, I have about 20 minutes worth of fireworks to shoot
I have a f1.7 50mm and a f3.5-f5.6 28-280mm
any ideas which would be best? I'm assuming I'll want a wider angle...?
I mean I'll bring both and swap if needed of course but just curious

I kinda failed the focus in some exposures, the show was kinda short, and I wasn't very lucky with the background sky
was fun and a good learning experience anyway

wait what? how did you get that effect? looks interesting although the huge white part in the middle is distracting
I had the same issue with some pics as well, when they were shooting lots at the same time

Yeah, I completely blew the exposure there. It's just a refocus trick, plenty of articles on it.
