hello, first time posting and just getting into photography, just wondering what kind of camera would you suggest to capture photos with this style quality that’s not disposable? i’m thinking the Leica C1 35mm, but i’d like some help and some suggestions

There's a fucking gear thread, go there.

If you've just got into /p/ then start by shooting with your phone before buying dedicated tools. Get a sense of what you like, what want to do, and how you want to do it, then decide on the camera you need from there.

those are 1:1 Instagram snaps
you dont need anything better than the camera on your smartphone for that style. Social media limits file size and resolution anyway

what makes the difference is getting a good editing app and learning how to post process well

Get any cheap grandma film p&s from your local thrift shop for cheap, and use cheapo Kodak Gold film from the drug store. You won't even need to process them digitally. They'll come out with that indie/amateur snapshot aesthetic. Definitely do not invest in a Leica though. It'd be a massive waste of money for you.

This, I use a Canon Sure Shot AF-7 I got out of a thrift shop for $5 and the cheapest film I can find on ebay. Very happy with the results.
