i rarely post or take pics of myself. Mostly i do not even consider "portrait photography" as a sub genre of photography. For me people should like my pics, because of the artistic value they have (or have not) and not because of pretty faces or girl asses. I want to be associated with the "fantastic landscapes" that i shoot (they aren't great, but i'm from a small town and it's quite easy for you if you have to competition). I love photography and many of the things that come with it, but being part of a photo is just a no go for me. I get often asked how i feel, when i have 300 pics of my friends or the buildings / landscape, but not a single one of me after a weekend vacation. Well i do not travell far away to take pictures of myself as a "proof" that i've been there. The pictures i take should speak for themself and in the best scenario, also tell a story. This is one of the reason why i like to take my camera with me when i go out drinking with my friends. It's kinda strange at first, but you'll have memories afterwards which will stay longer than just a regular night out.
For this reason, here is one of the rare self portraits, which i only take for my instagram profile picture.
