Helios is a clone of Biotar, an optical design Zeiss soon abandoned due to its lower sharpness compared to Planar and also due to this irregular bokeh shape, which was seen as a flaw at the time. Soviets continued making them, but never developed anything beyond Helios-44 (all versions optically identical to Biotar 58/2), Helios-81 (a slightly altered design for Nikon mount) and Helios-40 (a slightly stretched version of Biotar 75/1.5). You can find some swirliness on some very fast pre-AF primes, especially third-party ones (eg Chinon), but it's almost never as pronounced as on Helios.
For poorfags, many Chinese C-mount lenses have a very noticeable swirly effect when used on sensors larger than intended (ie APS-C/m43 instead of 2/3"-1" CCTV), but it's typically combined with vignetting, heavy field curvature and shit sharpness.
