I mean, you just look at that pic of your's, it could be taken straight out of 300, green screens and preposterous grading combined. It looks nothing like wildlife. I dig the story, or it would be a total write off for me, but artistically it's in the gutter.
Now for the cgi bear, and cgi horses... I admit that that really did kill it for me. You've a budget of millions and you pull that laughable effect on me? With bear moving like a fucking garfield in a cartoon? Fuck that, fuck that in it's ass. Couldn't care less if it's a pivotal scene or some random byshit as that horse, but if Walt fucking Disney somehow managed to pull a good bearfight in one of his nature films, you can bet that they could at least try to imitate the same. Fuck, just shot a bear roaring and shot a guy in a costume to hit Dicaprio on the head from some obscure angle, and it's better.
