>>3298166Don't get a mac anon, there's this misconception that they're better for producing stuff because that used to be the case in the early 2000s, but they're way overpriced for what they offer now, with good editing software existing for windows, apple overcharging for components and imacs having terrible thermal performance.
Go to the /pcb/ on /g/ and ask them to make a threadripper build for you, then take it to a computer repair shop to be put together if you don't want to do it yourself. Or if you REALLY need MacOS just pay someone from craigslist $50 to make it into a hackintosh for you. Either way a mac will be so overpriced that for ~$4400 (including a 4k ips monitor) you can build a pc that will perform better than a $8800 18 core imac pro, and if you wait a few months for the new threadripper and the new nvidia cards you'll get even more power for the same price.
Build that pc and get a 5d mk iv instead. The only thing the 1dx will give you over the 5d mk iv is higher fps, but it doesn't look like you're shooting sports.
Also computer>camera, the one you have is already a great camera (the vast majority of photographs that ever made it to magazine covers and billboards was taken on worse cameras) and you'll benefit more from faster processing times, especially if you want to get into handling 4k video files.
