share your tips, pointers, dos or donts for photos of cities, urban photography etc.
I want to get better at urban photography. Usually when I'm somewhere with a camera, I am alone, so I can't have someone pose. And my photos tend to be boring or lacking whenever there isn't something noticeable in the foreground, like a person. Something that is sort of the subject of the photo with the city as a backdrop.
As for buildings , I can do it reasonably with bright sunshine and photos of beautiful facades, or during sunset. Anything else is a lot harder, like cloudy weather. It just makes all the colors boring, at least in Dutch cities.
