>>3299436A decent picture, but I think
>>3299441was better on its own.
>>3299436Has some wonky post processing (sorry to say). It really stood out when I opened the image. I decided to spend a little time working on it and came up with [pic related]... Seemed to turn out nice. I wasn't able to make a higher res version though because my computer is a sack of shit powered by a hamster wheel.
Simplified process using GIMP 2.10
>cropped... a lotOriginally it wasn't this much. I only wanted to cut some of the bottom off the image as the lower half felt like clutter. The face is such a huge draw in the image that looking anywhere else felt like a waste of time. That said, I didn't like how my added background turned out so I pushed the crop to the max in order to remove as much of it as possible. My goal was to keep her pupils inside the upper middle third of the image while keeping her mouth in the lower middle third at a 4:3 ratio (the radio just meant I could cut more of the background out of the image).
>reset the image temp to something closer to sunlightThis just made it easier to eyeball saturations and values IMO. It gets changed later on.
>this is when I added the backgroundIt turned out terrible and I didn't want to spend the time fixing it so I cropped and blurred her hair way out of focus to smooth the transition. The blur was a circular blur. I used the vignette tool(inverted) to mask her face out of the blur.
>Layered like a half dozen vignettesAgain, this was to stamp out the background, but I also layered some onto her head as well to squeeze into the features of her face.
>brightened her teeth a littleThe process is a little intricate, but it basically boiled down to upping the value and desaturation slightly.
>added a hint of saturation to her cheeks, forehead, and chin; and two hints to her lipsSelf explainitory aside from the fact that I made sure to partially mask the saturation out of the highlights on her skin/lips.
