I bought the D810 right before the trip. It's a great camera but why the fuck does it have one SD slot and one CF slot? I filled up one card but not the other so somehow it switched from raws to jpg without me noticing. Now I know, but I was pretty annoyed.

That's it for the first round from Scotland. Next round of photos will probably be mostly Ireland. These are a pretty rough first pass and I still need to make up my mind on what's worth keeping and working on some more so I would appreciate any comments.

Like this but too much boring sky—the bird's a nice touch

My favourite part of these was being able to tell that they were taken in Scotland before reading that. I think they tell a good story of your trip but some of them are more boring than others.

It's not blown at all, I just preferred everything blending into the haze like that. I guess a little bit more contrast doesn't hurt, though.

Thanks. I've come to terms with the fact that my photos are pretty boring, I just like taking them. I'm glad they look like Scotland though because I rarely take photos anymore except when I'm travelling, so I really try to at least make them good travel photos.
