>>3312011Well it has 35/50/100 lines.
I have the 35mm 1.8 by canon, it’s small and literally pocketable. No hood needed since the front element is so recessed. It precedes the 35/2 mentioned by another anon, I hear they’re similar. Get the cheaper one.
I don’t plan on getting a 50mm for my canon P, but if I were, I’d get a 50mm/1.5 canon serenar. It’s a copy of the Zeiss Sonnar, and closer to a Zeiss than to a Jupiter Slav meme lens. Antique bokeh look. Otherwise 1.4/1.8 are both fine if you don’t love Sonnar looks. Pretty sure the 1.5 is the smallest of the three, but might actually be the heaviest. But it’s a 50 so how heavy can it really be?
100mm on the P is actually cool because of the 1x magnification. Hard to see IMO tho. If you want one, 100mm 3.5 is the best option from what I can tell, sticking to that exact focal length. There’s the 100mm f/2, which gives you the depth of field of a 50mm f/1 noctilux, but I suspect it’s hard to get it in focus before f/2.8 anyways, and probably a pain for the weight and size when f/3.5 isn’t slow for a short tele. Another option is the 90mm Leica Elmar, which is soft, and the 10.5cm nikkor, which I hear is decent, but probably out of your price range.
Typing this makes me miss my canon P. I hope I get it back soon. Kinda wanna Releather it and throw my janky ass ISO 3 film I have into there and shoot street all weekend
