Though I think the second picture is fine as is, could have gotten closer but it wasn't just about the bug. It was also about the bright, backlit greens, the foreground bokeh, the texture of the leaves, and the scene overall. Macro shots of bugs to me are boring and overdone. How many fuckin macro shots of beetles have you seen?
