>>3314198>The quality of your camera body matters but only so much. I mean, look at a tripfag like chosis, he has a 2k Sony full frame camera body with top of the line lenses and his images look like complete ass compared to some people around here with a DSLR from 2012. Unlike swapping to a better car, there's not as much of a need to swap to a better camera unless your skill has outgrown it so far that you have a real need for something else.Thats true but while the skilless guy wont do shit with a new body a skilled guy could do even better, just because of the tech-improvements.
You also neglet two of my points: First being the new possibilities of newer bodies like for example videography or better low light performence.
You want to shoot video? Exaggerated, old cameras mostly have shitty codecs, horrible rolling shutter, low dynamic range, 1080p max and no high fps. Skillwise you can be as good as you want, it just wont look as good as it could with better tech.
You want to shoot people in low light? You can't reduce shutter too much or hair etc will blur. Aperture has its limits too and you dont want blurry ears or nosetip just because your focal plane is too thin. Only option is higher ISO which brings us to newer, better performing sensors.
Second: If you have the money and a new camera brings you joy, theres nothing wrong with spending it, no matter how skilled you are. Remember: Its a hobby and a hobby has one purpose: Having fun.
Btw, a A6000 Body is 400€ new, 300€ used.
>>3314197Since my only experience is with my Nikon D7200 I can't recommend any other camera. I would suggest making yourself clear what features you want, what lens ecosystem you want to buy into, look up what different cameras have to offer and what matches your needs the most, compare, evaluate prices but most important: if you have the possibility go and try different cameras. You may like them on paper but not in your hand.
