Was sick and fucking tired of only taking cell phone shots of my car, so decided to dive into photography to up my game. It's been a year and a half and I'm steadily improving, both in camera and in post. I unironically look down on most young automotive photographers because their shit is hot garbage but they think it's hot shit. I was tired of the cancer so I became a cancer cell of my own.

Turns out I like actual photography better though it wasn't my original intention. My portraits are still sloppy

pretty sure thats how it sparked some interest, at 14 i saved up and got a Sony HDR-cx560v, which could shoot stills, and i know that was the moment i knew photography was a thing i genuinely wanted to try.

heres a fucking photo of some back yard i took with it, back in the day i thought this was the epitome of "dramatic" editing, jesus christ kid, easy there on the fecal tones. This was all about 4-5 years before i ever picked up a ricoh

i have more shit pics from back in the day if you guys wanna laugh at them

Got a bit of extra cash a couple years ago, had the realisation that a camera would be a valuable asset for anyone in life (will always take pictures, will come in useful in lots of potential things I'll do, etc). Read a few things, fell for the /p/ Sony a6000 meme but cheaped out and went for the a5000.

Few thousand followers on instagram and a year later and I upgraded to the a6k and got a lens. People ask me about prints and projects so I'm clearly heading in the right direction

Mirrorless camera and a gym subscription were two of the most valuable purchases I've made in life
