I am saving for an M10 or whatever might replace it in a years time. yes it's expensive but the user experience is just so much better for the work I do than other formats, and I love my film Leica. I currently have a cheap D800e that is just bulky and horrible to use, and only slightly shittier to use than a mirrorless toy sony.
The nikon stays at home 99% of the time, if I'm going to carry anything that heavy and clunky I'll haul the 4x5 and a tripod. a digital Leica will be a nice supplement to my M3.
as far as new models and features go, we have gone backwards and things are getting shittier, CMOS colour is flat garbage, and all anyone cares about now is 100bazilion ISO for shooting in pitch blackness. I just wish the M9 CCD sensors wern't degrading because I would purchase one today.
as far as features go, no.
digital stills peaked a few years ago, video is getting betterish, but all in all, camera manufactures are just coming out with shit no one is asking for now.
for me the D810 offers me nothing the D800e doesn't do and the print size from the D850's 45mp to the D800's 36mp is pretty well moot. probably get a 17x22" @ 300dpi instead of the 16.5x21" @ 300DPI i currently get
