It's an ego thing, people want the big number next to their name as a measure of their success. Chosis has ~1 year experience in photography and is too old to wait around for his skill to develop and to naturally earn a true following. So he lies, scams and cheats his way up there.

That is deciving though. Look I actually think Alex is slightly better but here is why. Alex's first post was in APRIL 20, 2013. That is almost SIX YEARS AGO while Chosis's account is only ONE YEAR OLD. If you extrapolate and put Chosis's IG in the same timeline as Alex he would have had more than 30,000 followers which is much more than Alex currently has. So While I think Alex has better composition, Chosis/Chris is better at marketing and capturing more interesting art work.
