I'm new to photography, and I'm only interested in architectural photography (and landscape to some extent). The thing is, I love old (european) architecture and dislike these modern concrete glass boxes that architectural photography seems to be all about.
Are photos of older buildings seen as a big no-no since you will rarely find these geometrical shapes and that symmetry? I get the feeling that the people whom stand in the financial districts and shoot up along concrete glass boxes arent interested in beautiful buildings but rather just symmetry and geometrical shapes? Its often hard to even tell they photographed a building, but I guess thats the point of the "fine art section" of architectural photography?
