>>3348911I'd say the opposite- it's fairly unpopular and disliked on reddit specifically because they're overdone and cliche, but reddit just happens to be infinitely more populated than 4chan so anything that gets more than a few thousand upvotes or a few reposts is seen as popular here for some reason
>>3348978Couldn't have said it better myself. /p/ is great for criticism and finding processing flaws or mistakes but it's an absolute desert in terms of talent and experience. One of the first things I noticed here was that you can post a well taken popular shot but if it's bright and cheerful, cliche or professional (done in a studio, product photography etc) everyone will shit on it not because it's bad but because they can't imagine themselves taking the same shot. Post some isolated archi, bad macro, pet shot or gloomy empty street shot and everyone loves it because it's something they can relate to- their NEET lifestyle facilitates them being able to shoot that picture themselves
