I am burned the fuck out with the Nikon, Canon, and Panasonic FF mirrorless hype. The photography press acts like SLRs are dead and mirrorless is a paradigm shift equal to the shift from film.

Yet DSLRs have out sold MILCs 1.7:1 this year. Outside Asia SLR sales approach 3:1.

The press acts like you HAVE to have mirrorless. IT'S THE FUTURE. But what does it actually bring to the table? I have two DSLRs (crop and FF) and one MILC (crop), not counting film SLRs.

* I like OVF a lot better.
* I like the DSLR AF a lot better.
* I don't feel like there are any drawbacks on the DSLRs.
* The only time I really use the MILC kit is when I want to travel because I chose compact lenses so it's a tiny, lightweight bag.
* EVF doesn't improve my compositions or anything.
* EVF hinders my ability to track fast moving objects.
* Mirrorless battery life sucks balls and I carry two spares in my pocket just for casual street/vacation shots.

What am I missing? Why am I supposed to orgasm over these new mirrorless bodies?
