With the disappointing Canikon sillbirths into the mirrorless world, will Panalympus pull ahead into a new market of disillusioned DSLR shooters looking to migrate into the delicious price/performance sweetspot and lighter, more portable gear of the MFT system?

Will Oly's next 24MP MFT sensor incorporate Pana's and Söyny's advancements into global shutter, as well as their advancements into IBIS (rumored 70MP hand-held high res mode with new 24MP MFT sensor) and improved ISO performance?

Could Pentax be eyeing a foray into the MFT world to diversify away from their shrinking DSLR market and inability to compete with Canikon in the FF mirrorless segment? Would the renowned Pentax body and lens hardening against the elements create a new niche for environmental photogs looking for small, light gear to leg around in the wilderness vs. the monster bodies and lenses of the FF world?

Or is MFT dead in the water, never to revive, as Pana abandons it for FF and Oly goes bankrupt?
