Hi, /p/
I work at the museum, shooting mostly reproductions of orthodox icons, photographs, sculptures, jewelry and stuff like that.
I currently work with Canon 5dm2 with 100mm/2,8 L macro lens and I have two main issues - resolution (that should be fixed with buying 5ds r) and tight studio spaces.
The second issue is more pressing, since it quite impossible to shoot big pieces properly with 100mm lens, but I still need those macro capabilities.
So in short - I need a good and relatively wide-angled lens with good minimal focus distance.
Right now I’m eyeing Canon TS-E 50mm f/2.8L, but I have no idea how it suits for my line of work.
Is there any viable alternatives? Besides buying phase one camera which is way out of museum’s budget, of course
