Would agree. Two of my favourite camers are 38mm. I think if you had to choose one prime length it's ideal for most situations.

OP should specify what focal length are we talking about, actual or advertised and at what wave length? Leitz still seems to think 51.6mm is the perfect normal while Zeiss (Contax) settled to 52.3mm.

I want to get a wider lense to add to my 50mm to take along when I go hiking to get slightly more impressive landscape shots or to better get the rural buildings I like to photograph on frame (no I can't go further away from the subject, streets aren't that wide). Convince me of your lens of choice.

i shot with many lenses urban photography and surprisingly best focal throught years of expirience i decided as 135mm for an urban. also 135f2L canon is perfect. its like marvel glass just works always perfecta nd always delivers. thats masterpiece of lens making. creamy bokeh, blade sharpness at f2, oil paint picture effect and i even didnt mentioned colors contrast and else. if you can just buy it. though its DSLR lens and DSLRs are past. but you can always use eosR with adapter which is working great. 135f2L is pure legend of optics
