If I thought it was great I'd post somewhere to get appreciated. If I thought it sucked, I'd delete it.
This kind of thing is what /p/ can be good at. I'll sometimes see a photo I think it great, and then read some critique and realise how it could have been improved. Sure, sometimes I think the critique is nonsense, and that's OK. You take the advice that makes sense to you, in order to get better at making the kind of photos you want to make.
Sadly, that kind of critique seems to be getting ever rarer. Loads of pictures that are posted here aren't bad enough to get trolled and aren't good enough to get fans. Look down any rpt and you'll see that a lot of the photos get no real comments at all. Lots of the threads that drop away with almost no comments have some pretty good photos in them, while the front page is full of people gossiping about tripfags or arguing about which of six gear brands is best.
