He's kinda got a point.

I've done a few portraits etc for money now and then and it's all customers notice.

You can have the most shit composition and sharpness of the subject but if the background is bokeh balls they think you're fucking Ansel Adams.

I'll never understand the need for f1.0 lenses and shit apart from low light work, astro stuff. If you're doing portraits you get like the tip of the nose in focus and everything else is blurred as fuck. It really doesn't even look good and takes zero skill to acheive. Triggered portrait phagtogs in 3...2...

it has it's place for that time you need to shoot with only candlelight.
The Kubrick lens (Zeiss Planar 50mm f/0.7) has been a gearfags wet dream for decades.

the funny thing is that slower lenses are often sharper than the super fast shit

i alwya get angry when i see a profile with like two hundred solid shot but without followers because they don't shoot 85mm f1.2 / 1.4 portraits of instagram thots.
