A7's image quality is APS-C level noisy. Pic related--the D750 and even Canon full frame bodies have about a stop better noise performance than the A7 (and A7 II, which uses the same chip).

With adapters, sure. If you're talking native glass, though, the F mount blows away FE. Sometimes adapters work okay, sometimes they suck. For lenses that require a focus motor in body, they're gonna suck.

When I had one I used old manual primes for regular shooting and a Tamron 70-200 g2 for sports. Did absolutely everything I wanted it to do.

Really thinking of getting one tomorrow on Black Friday, but I'll be fucked if that new Fuji isn't tempting, or getting a slightly used K1. I don't know what to get.

No, not really, they don't have anything that sony don't have, except a couple of pro sports $10k lenses and some manual focus tilt shifts that lose nothing by being adapted, sonys lenses tend to be universally of higher image quality too and often more affordable. FE has infinitely better cine lens options as well, that's for sure!

105 for portraits, 50 for day to day, 70-210 for anything fast moving or requires zoom. I wouldn’t consider myself a pro. I have had lots of interest in my political photography though.

To add.. I have a ton of glass and this camera works great with all of my older stuff. I've got a few DX lenses to upgrade though. I already have the holy Trinity of lenses too. If you enjoy photography just buy a D750 and you will be set for quite some time.

I am a pro concert photographer but my main money comes from my day job as a Photojournalist. Love my job and gear.

Probably. I’m just saying that a company saying they’re not going to do a thing is not really a good indication that they’re not going to do the thing. If Fuji *were* working on a full frame camera and they announced that they were working on a full frame camera, sales of their higher-end aps-c bodies and lenses would tank.

How can you really make sure you nail focus?

A lot of lenses that I'm interested in are MF but it seems a bit intimidating, I don't want to walk out of a shoot with missed focus unuseables.

I shoot festivals professionaly, I shoot with 2 D800 and I meet a lot of photographers with D750.
I have seen to many D750's brake in a festivals to never recommend anyone to get them. I am happy I shoot with D800, sure the auto focus and low light performance is worse, but atleast neather of my bodies have broken on me, next summer I upgrade to D850.

Use the focus confirmation dot on a DSLR and focus peaking on mirrorless. Some mirrorless cameras, such as ones by Sony, have a magnify function that you see live through the EVF to check focus.

I do find the focus and low light performance the key reasons that I upgraded. For the cost of a D850... I'd buy two more 750's and put them away. I don't need that many megapixels. To each their own.

I started shooting originally on a K-7 with manuals, so I just got used to it. Used it for about two years before I moved on to a d750. I love pentax for manuals because it will chirp at you. Really helped.

Now I really want to get a K1 instead, but I don't trust used bodies and I don't have enough for a Mark II. Sad days.
