>>3408271>I tried going to mirrorless and ended up coming back to a D810funny, I did the same and landed with the D800 which is mostly a glorified scanner right now.
The F3 is a beautiful camera and my only film Nikon right now, I never quite took to it like I did with the FM2. but I shot the fuck out of the FM2 and thought it was going to die so I sold it (it's still going).
The Leica M3 is a massive shift from SLRs and it took me a bit to get into it. I have since put about 200 rolls through it and I find SLRs difficult now. I had to use the F3 last year to shoot some Kodak HIE (the M3 has a glass pressure plate and can't shoot IR), the Nikon felt as cumbersome and slow to shoot as my Crown Graphic (granted IR is not quite normal shooting). I really haven't used the F3 since.
The M3 gets easier to load but for me it hasn't quite gotten as quick as an SLR. For that and the super bright RF, the Zeiss Ikon beats the Leica. I wish the Zeiss Ikno just didn't feel as cheap as a FM2 or AE1
