The story the picture tells me is "hey, friendobud, stand there and make a pose while the kite flyer flies by okay? It'll be a great picture", it makes it feel ungenuine, even if it's actually a fantastic photo, since it appears staged.
Regarding the first one; I'm not quite sure. I dont know if lights like that honor the original creation of the construction or if it simply uses (or abuses) it for tourism. In either case; it's not natural, it's not really what the original architect had in mind.
This is not me bashing down on you though, this is me honoring your work by giving subjective criticism to potentially become even better.
