Is there a term for this type of lighting? I'm having a hard time finding photo's with this kind of aesthetic.

It's not clear what kind of light it is, but the key is that it's coming directly from where the camera is, therefore it "falls off" as objects recede from the camera.

Like others have said, some kind of tiny pop-up flash. You can achieve that look with any camera really as long as it has a flash built in.
